The Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting for KORT-Glasgow Physical Therapy on Friday, August 28 to celebrate the grand opening of their new facility at 102 Hippocrates Way, located in the Professional Plaza across from TJ Samson Community Hospital.

Since 1990, KORT Glasgow Physical Therapy has been providing physical therapy care to the community. KORT specializes in sports medicine rehab, pre and post operative orthopedic care, workman’s compensation injuries, and manual physical therapy. KORT also provides EMGs, fibromyalgia and vestibular programs. Since 1994, Dewayne Miller PT-OCS-ATC has served as clinic director and is presently working on the Barren County High school sidelines as the athletic trainer.

Bluegrass Cellular recently held a Grand Opening Celebration with the Glasgow Barren County Chamber of Commerce on August 14th to celebrate their brand new Customer Care Center in Glasgow. The new 6,360 square foot retail facility is located across from Hardees and Kmart Shopping Center, at 241 S.L. Rogers Wells Blvd. The new location features a larger showroom, drive thru payment window and a service bay for vehicles requiring equipment installation. Another enhancement is an all-live phone display, which enables customers to browse through the features of a device before purchase.

The Glasgow Recreation Department officially opened the Liberty Street Walking Trail on August 12th with a ribbon cutting sponsored by the Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce.

The Liberty Street Walking Trail is located at 305 Liberty Street. The trail is a half mile, completely encircling the Liberty Street Campus. Those wishing for a longer route can connect with the pre-existing Renaissance Trail. The trail also includes exercise stations, donated by a 2009 Leadership group and flowering trees donated by Marshal & Janet Broady and Modern Woodmen of America.

The Glasgow Recreation Department encourages the community to come and try this new facility and enjoy the serene atmosphere in the middle of town and bring a friend!
