History |
| Glasgow was named county seat in 1799, just one year after Barren
County was officially formed out of Warren and Green counties. Glasgow was

Certified Retirement Community |
Kentucky is an ideal place to call home for many retirees. All across
the Commonwealth, communities large and small offer a diverse choice of
recreation, entertainment, service and leisure living amenities. Under a
new Kentucky program, the Glasgow has qualified as a Certified Retirement
Community for meeting specific criteria identified by retirees in response
to surveys asking what types of communities and amenities they are seeking
in their retirement destinations.
